Advocis Best Practices Manual
In November 2006, Advocis launched a new web-based platform with revised and updated content for its industry-leading Best Practices Manual (BPM). New features help advisors turn industry codes including the Advocis Code of Professional Conduct, standards and ethics into practical and profitable best practices, regardless of practice discipline. The innovative web-based portal allows Advocis members to easily access, search and use the most comprehensive, up-to-date and practical best practices content available.
The new Due Diligence section addresses some of the key fiduciary responsibilities and duties advisors are required to follow and explores how to incorporate them into practice. The additional benefit to the advisor is the development of a compliant business model that better protects against E&O claims.
The new Regulatory Issues section keeps advisors abreast of emerging issues that directly impact their practice. As the issues develop, the BPM responds with real-time updates to processes and informed guidance to help advisors maintain profitability through the regulatory framework.
Financial advisors need to grow their practices, stand out from their competition, stay current and operate cost effectively and the Advocis BPM has the practical and profitable solutions that address those needs.
The development of this continuously evolving resource for Advocis members is guided by the collaborative engagement of:
- the Best Practices Committee, a team of practicing professionals from our membership who represent the scope of practice disciplines;
- chapter Best Practices leaders;
- a series of recognized content experts in their field;
- and the Advocis Regulatory Affairs group.
